What is Redemption Road Coffee?
We are coffee roasters. Redemption Road Coffee exists to serve exceptional coffee while investing in people and communities.
We source ethically grown coffee from farms that support their local communities. We also partner with organizations working to fight sex trafficking, build clean water wells, and expand access to education.
Our single-origin coffees are roasted in Mead, Colorado.
How fresh is your coffee?
We roast multiple times each week in small batches.
Most orders ship within days of roasting so your coffee arrives fresh and ready to brew.

Orders typically ship within 48 hours, Monday through Friday.
We ship using USPS and UPS, with shipments going out several times throughout the week to maintain freshness.

Absolutely.
You can ship coffee directly to a friend during checkout. Add a note and we’ll handwrite a message for you.
We also offer digital gift cards available on our website.
What brewing ratio do you recommend?
A great starting point is 2 tablespoons of coffee for every 8 ounces of water. Its worth noting that cups of coffee pots are not always 8 oz cups.
Adjust to taste depending on your brewing method and preference.
What grind size should I use?
We recommend a medium grind for drip, medium-coarse for French press, and we encourage you to fine tune a finer grind for pour over.
For cold brew, we recommend a coarse grind.
Do you offer coffee subscriptions?
Yes. Our subscription program delivers fresh coffee automatically on the schedule you choose.
Subscribers receive 10% off every shipment.

Is there mold in your coffee?
Mold develops when green coffee is improperly dried or stored.
The producers we work with follow strict drying protocols that prevent mold development. We also maintain careful standards for storage, roasting, and handling.
Because of these preventative practices and the quality of the coffee we source, routine mold testing is not part of our process.
Is your coffee organic?
Two of our coffees are currently certified organic at the farm level. Other coffees, like Malawi, have a rainforest alliance certification. These certifications show what the farmer has done to help produce the best quality coffee that they can. We cannot say these are certified organic on our bags because we did not pay for additional certifications. This is one of the troubles with certifications, it’s that the majority of them have to do with paying for labels, not actually getting any changes. Furthermore, we intentionally partner with many small specialty farms who choose not to pursue certification due to the cost and complexity involved. Instead, we focus on relationships with producers who prioritize sustainability, soil health, and responsible farming.
Do you offer wholesale?
Yes. We partner with cafés, offices, churches and retailers who want exceptional coffee.

Which coffee works best for espresso?
Espresso is a brew method of coffee, not a kind of bean. Any coffee can be prepared as an espresso. Below are a list of some of our favorite coffees for espresso: Honduras Medium Roast and Malawi Dark Roast
Both produce balanced shots with excellent body and sweetness.
