In Tanzania, children often have a long way to go to school - which is a significant hurdle for them to attend regularly.
Kifaru Coffee Estate regularly initiates social projects to support the farm workers, such as his own kindergarten. Every day, almost 50 children between the ages of three and six are looked after here, given regular meals, and taught. During the picking season, the number of children increases many times over. Then, the women come from the surrounding communities and live in the specially built pickers camp, a facility with sleeping accommodations and showers, where they are fed. The coffee farmer also supports a school in the neighborhood with the Shangri-La Education Foundation.

Been a loyal client to this particular coffee roast for over a year now and it never disappoints!!
So fruity, bright, sweet, and delicious. I’ve started making cold brew with it:
1 cup of ground coffee to 4.5 cups of filtered water. Steep at room temp 24 hours, strain and refrigerate.
I probably make the best cold brew in town right at home 🤎

My Tanzanian coffee is sooo incredibly good ! It took me back to my first visit to Dar & Zanzibar back in 2019 !! I’ll definitely be purchasing again. Kudos to this company for providing a great collaboration with the women of Tanzania 🇹🇿!

I tend to drink darker roast coffees, as I find them more complex, and they tend to have a very satisfying depth of flavor. Most of the light roasts I have tried over the years have been very one-note and weak. That is not true of the light roasts from Redemption Road. The Tanzania is bright in flavor, slightly fruity, and deeply satisfying. I find it to be like a bit of caffeinated sunshine in my mug - perfect for a relaxing cup on my patio on a Saturday morning, or served with a late Sunday brunch.
