Dark Roast

Flavor Notes: Carmel, Cocoa, Chocolate

The average coffee farmer in Cauca and Huila has about 4 Acres of coffee land and will produce about 7000 pounds of coffee per harvest. This coffee generally rates 84-85 points out of 100. Prior to the Gran Galope program this coffee would be sold for the street price. In today's market of about $1.20, this standard price is simply an unfortunate break-even price for an entire year's-worth of what we all know is hard, committed, and disciplined work. The Gran Galope pregame pulls out the top lots from those still-solid but lesser cupping coffees (think 84-85 points), paying a premium to the farmer.

By buying this coffee you are supporting very small farms in Cauca and Huila, Colombia.
